Global Yachting Group appoints Chief Commercial Officer to drive strategic grow plans

The Global Yachting Group (GYG) has announced the appointment of Andrew Clemence as its Chief Commercial Officer with a mandate to champion the group´s strategic growth plans.

Reporting to GYG Executive Chairman, Remy Millott and joining the senior management team, Andrew Clemence will head up the sales, marketing and commercial functions. New to the industry Andrew has a 30 history of driving strategic growth in the travel, hospitality and entertainment sectors on a global basis. Based in GYG headquarters in Palma, Andrew´s initial focus will be; developing the group´s on and off-line marketing, driving the sales pipeline and implementing new customer relationship management processes.

Commenting on his appointment Andrew Clemence said: “I am genuinely excited by the opportunity to enter the superyacht industry and to do so with a market leader in the Global Yachting Group.  It will be a steep learning curve but I believe my skills and experience developed in the global travel and hospitality sectors will be largely transferable to the rapidly maturing nautical industry”.

GYG is focused on delivering ongoing shareholder value through the pursuit of global growth strategy across its portfolio of businesses.  The appointment of Andrew Clemence as CCO is fundamental to the execution of this strategy by scaling up GYG´s sales and marketing capabilities whilst preserving the groups brand values.
